Patient Reviews

She is wonderful!

I’m the most indecisive person ever, and she really helped me make quick decisions and feel good about the choices I made.

I injured my right wrist a few months back and have been avoiding going to the doctor thinking it would get better. It didn’t. I was referred to Dr. Hertz and I’m so glad I was.

I walked in, she wrote down 7 options for me and we went down the list. Done and done! I didn’t feel rushed to get out at all, but she made the entire process easy and quick. Answered all the questions I had and was very fun and personable.

The office is very nice and clean. Parking can be expensive, but there is a lot downstairs. Typically it’s $10 and they do not validate. I found street parking and paid $2 for the meter.

I’d definitely recommend her to anyone needing an orthopedic specialist in LA.

I chose the doctor at first based on her online listing, “accepts new patients” & “orthopedic surgeon”. Being that I can’t keep a proper appointment because of my travel/work schedule, Dr. Hertz was glad to fit me in to see me and has worked with me on availability.

She is very knowledgeable, friendly and has a very clean, professional office setting. Breaking a bone is something you don’t plan on experiencing, but in the end you want the BEST doctor on your side and for me that is Dr. Hertz. Couldn’t have chosen a better person to care for me.

Yelp

I had a consultation today with Dr. Hertz and she was so incredibly kind, patient, and generous with her time in helping me understand the surgery I might need and what to expect — she talked me through the procedure, prognosis, and risks involved without pushing me one way or another.

I must have asked the same question in a different way ten times yet she patiently put up with me and explained what I should know and what to expect, she wanted to make sure I understood all my options and what the outcomes may or may not be, which I really appreciated. Completely agree with the previous reviewer (Cameron S.) that she put my mind at ease — surgery is never simple and what’s super helpful is to know what’s on the road ahead and to reduce all the uncertainty. Would absolutely recommend for finger/hand injuries.

Yelp

Through my research on the internet I came across Dr. hertz. After thoroughly reading about her medical background I felt comfortable enough to make and appointment.

Pros:
More than (1) location to choose from in which to make an appointment.
Availability and flexibility when choosing an appointment time.
I arrived on time for all of my appointments and the wait time was less than 5 minutes.
Equipment needed to assess my concern was available during my appointment. (Accept for the MRI machine, which is typically done by referral.)
Dr. Hertz and her staff are very friendly.
Excellent with calling me to follow up after surgery and also with confirming my appointments.
She appears very knowledgeable in her area of expertise.
I’m extremely happy with my surgical results and looking forward to physical therapy.
She’s very professional and also easy on the eyes. (Wink)
Oh…the most important part was that Dr. Hertz gave me options and let me decide what I felt was best for me from all the information she provided me.

Cons:
Can’t think of anything, but if I do I’ll let you know.

FANTASTIC!!! I would recommend Dr. Jennifer Hertz to others.

Yelp

The short version:
Dr. Hertz is a rare breed. She went above and beyond in every way when I was in serious need of a hand specialist. Also: she’s fantastic company.

The long(er) version:
At the end of a long, frustrating, and painful day, I was told that I needed to see a specialist. Unfortunately, it was late in the day on a Friday, and it seemed like every doctor in LA had already started their weekend. Lucky for me, I was able to catch Dr. Hertz on her way out of the office. She listened to me and understood that I did, in fact, need to see a doctor. She turned around and came back to the office to see me. She took her time, provided excellent medical care, and did a wonderful job of putting my mind at ease.

After a painful injury and a smooth recovery (thanks to Dr. Hertz), I’m looking forward to my follow up appointment!

If you need a great orthopedist who is also a fantastic human, get yourself over to Dr. Hertz.

Yelp

Dr. Hertz is fantastic. I had a pretty badly broken thumb, and after surgery and physical therapy I was able to exceed my range-of-motion goals and am now able to do everything physically that I was able to do prior to the accident.

In addition to the smooth surgery, Dr. Hertz made herself available to assist me with ALL of my questions regarding insurance and billing which helped make the process much less of a headache than it otherwise would have been.

If you’re in need of a hand specialist Dr. Hertz is great and I’d highly recommend her.

Yelp

Dr. Hertz is one of a kind!
I was in danger of losing my hand to MERSA that took over in a matter of a few days.
No other doctor had been able to stop this hideous thing creeping up my arm.
She politely but firmly ordered me to not go anywhere and she would finish the patient she was with and off to surgery we went.
I was the last person she saw that day after multiple surgeries and then the first person she checked up on the next morning to make certain I was okay.
After 3 days in the hospital she had not only saved my hand but was already attempting to find a way through the hellacious insurance maze to make certain I was not overbilled and to try and fix an unrelated other issue in my other hand.
She also has a FANTASTIC sense of humor and wonderful bedside manner.
I am normally NOT a fan of M.D.’s…..but Dr. Hertz is making me rethink it all.
THANK YOU DR. HERTZ!
